Match Result:
Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 7 wickets. The Kings won thanks to a brilliant knock from Kieron Pollard and a methodical knock from James Vince. Masood, the skipper, departed early for 12, but Akhlaq, his opening partner, outlasted the Peshawar bowlers. He made a rapid twenty-four from just thirteen balls. Vince and Malik shared a 51-run partnership for the third wicket following his removal, which stabilized the innings but did not change the game’s score. After the interval, they lost Malik on the first ball, which put a lot of pressure on Pollard and Vince.
However, Pollard immediately signaled his intentions by hitting the first ball he faced from Waqar for a maximum. That gave him confidence, and in the 15th over of the innings, against Waqar, he blasted 27 runs. That overturned the tide of the match totally in Karachi’s favor, and they easily scored the remaining runs to win. Wood was excellent for Peshawar, taking a few wickets while conceding just 20 runs in his session, but the Zeeshan and Waqar were too costly for his team to use.
